Burma Vision: October 2014 AlasKaren and AAO
A team of Jeff Wheaton (FBR-AK), SueBu (FBR medic), NayHser (Eye medic), Kiryn and Jimmy Trask (Colorado PA-C) and Alaska doc Bob Arnold convened in Chiang Mai and drove through Umphang planning an eye clinic at the AlasKaren Training Center in Bung Klung. Following the optical, medical and surgical care, NayHser and Bob flew to Chicago to present a talk on photoscreening children and adults from Burma at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting. NayHser then furthered his eye experience with adult ophthalmologists in Anchorage, Alaska. NayHser needs more IOLs, viscoelastic and 10-0 nylon sutures for up-coming Karen State eye surgery.
